Weekend Niceties…

Monday, April 18th, 2005

An excellent weekend has just passed in which I’ve gotten pissed drunk, & been fed the most worthwhile seafood on the face of the Earth (or so, I think…)

Anyway, I spent yesterday getting pissed drunk cause the drinks here are so cheap compared to SG at Darling Harbour. There’s a really cool chill-out cum dance club called the Watershed in which everybody seem to know how to enjoy themselves. The bar service is really quick as opposed to the bar service in SG. They’re quick to take your $$$ and return you the $$$, unlike all the clubs we’ve been to in SG. So quick to take your $$$ and takes forever & a day to return… Kinda pissing, isn’t it? I guess that its just a cheap way to try to make you pissed off and forget about the change which they’ll keep as tips… A**holes… I got pissed nicely until the time comes when my friend & I tried to find lodgings as the cabs here are really expensive. From the city to my house which is only about 15-20 min away, it can cost $20 easily… Heaven help my friend who lives about an hour’s drive away… Well, I’m not exactly Heaven, but I helped him by letting him stay in my living room. Hehe… and… yup… it cost me $20 to get home… Oh well… New country, new rules to abide by.

Today, I went to the Fish Market of Sydney. This place is famous for its seafood & delicacy. I got a seafood platter which is supposed to be for 2 people. I have total about 4 people in the group and we didn’t quite manage to finish it. Its literally piled high with seafood and I tell you, you haven’t really lived until you tasted the seafood. Its magnificent! So, to those who will fly to Sydney sometime in the future, remember to check this place out! Up til now, I’m still stuffed full which is like 7 hours after my meal… Yum yum…

Next off, we (my sis, housemates & I) went to a place called Birkenhead Circle or something in which its known as a famous factory outlet (I mean LOTS of factory outlets). Girls being as they are went havoc as they’re let loose upon this factory outlet. Its pretty much clothes but they’re all branded and its really worth it. I see lots of handbags, ladies shoes (and quite a number of calf-high boots too! *hint hint to a particular girl called Shelly*) and a lot of shirts and different fashion. I was fine until my 2nd to 3rd hour of shopping in which I start feeling very tired cause of the hangover hammering from yesterday. But anyway, its a good place to go to & which I highly recommend for shopaholics over there. To all the future Sydney travellers, let me know if you wanna come & I can be sure to send you to those places mentioned. It’s really good.

Life Over The Weekends…

Monday, April 11th, 2005

Well… I said I should be resting & recuperating at home… Guess what? I didn’t rest on Sat… Cause my friend Troels who’s a Dane who looks suspiciously like Frodo asked me out to my friend’s pub to get smashed… He got smashed pretty badly… and I did too… Ended up getting picked up by an Aussie chick who’s personality is equal to Shelly… OMG! Hehe… Not the bad stuff lah, just the good stuff… :P Got home only at about 4am in the morning… Loads of drinks took me down pretty bad… Was pretty lucky I didn’t get any hangover or something… Shelly: Don’t worry, I’ll update this blog regularly cause I don’t have much to do! Haha… Jordan: Darrell’s talking abt his army stuff? Lol. We know that pretty well cause we’ve all done the same b4 so we know… Lol… Hmm… What’s Jason doing? I bet u guys didn’t do much session cause of the weight of the books… Grr… Hmm… I would love to have session! I miss DMing u guys… >.< Sigh… I’ll be back in Jul for e last 2 weeks after I get my Private Pilot License, hopefully… Wahahaha… Anyway, thanks for writing… Keep a bookmark on this blog and we’ll "chat" with each other more often :) Until then, take good care & good luck to ur exams too!

Crappy day!!!

Friday, April 8th, 2005

I’ve had a crappy day at this moment… Hell, no… Actually, I aced my Basic Aeronautical Knowledge exam and had a great flying day where all my flying is going perfectly. Had a couple of hiccups, but nothing too harsh, but the thing is I don’t have many friends here in Sydney.

Even if I have many, they’ll all be out doing their own things… Its not easy making friends and keeping them here. I guess the only way is for me to reach out to them instead of keeping to myself. Most probably, cause I don’t have much of a sense of humour… Oh crap… The night is getting very dark right about now… Grr… And to top it off, I’ll most probably be spending my weekends at home, resting & recuperating, given that I won’t be going out at all… Anyway, I’m pretty crappy at writing about my personal views and that I might be a bit extreme but in any case, if you feel like giving any comments, feel free to comment. I’m welcome to share my opinions with everyone of you out there.
