Weekend Niceties…
Monday, April 18th, 2005An excellent weekend has just passed in which I’ve gotten pissed drunk, & been fed the most worthwhile seafood on the face of the Earth (or so, I think…)
Anyway, I spent yesterday getting pissed drunk cause the drinks here are so cheap compared to SG at Darling Harbour. There’s a really cool chill-out cum dance club called the Watershed in which everybody seem to know how to enjoy themselves. The bar service is really quick as opposed to the bar service in SG. They’re quick to take your $$$ and return you the $$$, unlike all the clubs we’ve been to in SG. So quick to take your $$$ and takes forever & a day to return… Kinda pissing, isn’t it? I guess that its just a cheap way to try to make you pissed off and forget about the change which they’ll keep as tips… A**holes… I got pissed nicely until the time comes when my friend & I tried to find lodgings as the cabs here are really expensive. From the city to my house which is only about 15-20 min away, it can cost $20 easily… Heaven help my friend who lives about an hour’s drive away… Well, I’m not exactly Heaven, but I helped him by letting him stay in my living room. Hehe… and… yup… it cost me $20 to get home… Oh well… New country, new rules to abide by.
Today, I went to the Fish Market of Sydney. This place is famous for its seafood & delicacy. I got a seafood platter which is supposed to be for 2 people. I have total about 4 people in the group and we didn’t quite manage to finish it. Its literally piled high with seafood and I tell you, you haven’t really lived until you tasted the seafood. Its magnificent! So, to those who will fly to Sydney sometime in the future, remember to check this place out! Up til now, I’m still stuffed full which is like 7 hours after my meal… Yum yum…
Next off, we (my sis, housemates & I) went to a place called Birkenhead Circle or something in which its known as a famous factory outlet (I mean LOTS of factory outlets). Girls being as they are went havoc as they’re let loose upon this factory outlet. Its pretty much clothes but they’re all branded and its really worth it. I see lots of handbags, ladies shoes (and quite a number of calf-high boots too! *hint hint to a particular girl called Shelly*) and a lot of shirts and different fashion. I was fine until my 2nd to 3rd hour of shopping in which I start feeling very tired cause of the hangover hammering from yesterday. But anyway, its a good place to go to & which I highly recommend for shopaholics over there. To all the future Sydney travellers, let me know if you wanna come & I can be sure to send you to those places mentioned. It’s really good.
