Richie’s Rants!

Hmm… Back from Gold Coast!!! I felt like my brain has been sucked dry… It seems that everytime I went flying with my instructor, Steven and my Dane friend, Troels (Choes), the plane is bound to fail… Fair enough, I got to Gold Coast, spent a couple of nights there, but the plane couldn’t start after I refuelled halfway back to Sydney… Grr… Ended up spending a night in Coff’s Harbour which is between Gold Coast and Sydney… Sigh… Apparently, bowling alleys are a great pickup joint in Australia as my friend have been approached by a lady in Gold Coast and in Coff’s Harbour, there were 3 English girls around but we aren’t interested so we decided to give it a pass…

First off, never put a Singaporean, a Dane and an Australian in a same plane. It means bad luck… Hehe… Oh well, at least I’m alive and proud to say it! Next time, I can put in my resume that I’ve flown shit planes and survived them all… Why do I say that? #1, was the incident when I was supposed to fly to Byron Bay… and the engine partially failed… #2, the plane when I was coming back apparently have cracked nuts surrounding the fuel line. If the nuts broke, there are 2 possibilities… either my engine would be running on full ALL the time, or my engine will give way completely… The engineer who looked over the plane yesterday blessed us before we left… How re-assuring! Anyhow, I’m back so no complains…   =)

I’ll be back on Jul 14 to 30! Ready or not, SG… Here I come!!! Hehe… but not before clearing my private pilot license first. There were days when my brain feels completely sucked! As if there’s an intellect devourer hiding in my skull where I just feel brain dead… especially after a hard day of flying…

Talking about hard flying, I’ll be flying about 200km inland from Sydney in a small plane over mountains tomorrow… Hope that nothing goes wrong… Hehe… Even when I had such problems, I’m not too worried… Guess that I just don’t realise the gravity of the situation… Well… Even if I can’t make it, at least I’m doing something I love and I guess I won’t mind. One only live once… Ah well… Enough of the defeatist talk…

I miss my D&D kakis!!! I miss my sessions! I miss my books! Sigh… Lastly, but certainly not the least… I miss my beautiful girlfriend, Catherine… Can’t wait to come back and plague you guys back in SG!   :)   Sorry that I can’t join you guys back in World of Warcraft. I really bought the game in Sydney but the only days when I can play is during the weekends and its really not worth it if I do that… I promise that I’ll try to join you guys when I’m more free and available as my school days are extremely hectic! Ok then, I’ll try to update more often… For those of you who visit, please drop me comments!!! I miss hearing from you guys!
