Aerial Photography!

Ah-ha! I’ve always been accused of not updating my blog regularly.   *sheepish grin*   Well, that’s true! I’ll try to do that anyhow but no promises, cause it always depends on my schedule. I’ve always been flying but not many people have seen the sights I’ve seen… So with the digital camera I brought back from SG, I hope to share some of the sights that I’ve seen. Some might feel I really took it, some might not. Well, for one, all the pictures are really taken on my flights, so if you don’t believe it, there’s really nothing I can do to prove it… So, here goes some of the pictures I’ve taken:

Img_0094_1 This is a picture of Taree taken at a height of 4,500ft (1.35km) from the sea level. Taree is a rather small community. My first encounter with Taree was after my engine failure at Gloucester, we flew to Taree to refuel & catch the movie Star Wars 3 there… Its a pretty relaxing town. Good for people who like a quiet place.

Img_0097 A picture of the sun setting at 1,500ft (450m) over Sydney. I was in a race to escape the end of daylight. In my opinion, its a poorly taken picture, but some of my friends like it, so I included it in for their sake & for others who might like this picture.

Img_0130The rainbow is taken at the aftermath of a passing nimbostratus (nasty long lasting rain clouds). Erm… Regarding the passing, maybe I passed it, not it passed me… anyway, its taken on the way to Melbourne.

Jervis_bay_edited_13 I took my friend, James on a scenic flight around Sydney and the next 2 pictures are his contributions. Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge can be seen at this point.

Jervis_bay_edited_2 A sight of the beaches at the south of Sydney. I can’t tell you off the top of my head what the beaches’ names are. Will need to refer to my map. It is taken on the same flight but due to the angle of the Sun’s rays and the cloud position, this effect is achieved.

So at the moment, that is about it. I will keep taking pictures and when I see some pictures I really like, I’ll post it up here so that everyone can take a look at the same time as well. Please feel free to comment on my photography. I’m quite new to this business as well, as most of my friends who’ve known me ages ago know that I’m not much a fan of photography, let alone aerial photography.

I’m back!

I’m back!!! Sigh… After a few weeks of attempting to update my blog, now I finally have the chance again… The ‘Update Blog’ button just simply doesn’t work! But it works now… Let’s hope it remains that way… I actually tried another more reliable source at blogspot… However, its quite complicated and I’m not that into IT anymore, so I think I’ll have a bit of difficulty configuring it to suit my own tastes… So… Here I am, back again!

I just got back from Melbourne actually… Melbourne is known as the Fashion City of Australia and boy… it is appropriately named. I flew the plane there and the weather was just crap when I was on my way. However, I did manage to touch down although I was getting the shits when the cloud was closing in and the difference between my plane and the ground is about 500′ (150m). Not much of a clearance if you ask me. Thankfully, I’m safe on the ground… And when I was flying back… the same old bad weather persists! Sigh… Anyway, to cut a long story short, low cloud + high terrain = getting the shits…

Back to why Melbourne is called the fashion city… The people there are so much cuter and prettier than those in Sydney! Err… the girls anyway… I got dragged by 2 of my classmates to go shopping with them where there’s this place called Chapel Street and there are lots of shops for girls to go crazy in… I accompanied them for a bit, thinking that I can save some cash by going shopping with the girls cause I never expected to see anything for men… and lo & behold, there lies a jacket which captivated me the moment I lay eyes on it… Its really nice & when I was trying it out, my girl-friends commented that its nice & that clinched the deal… That jacket set me back by AUD$66… But its worth it, I think… Hope that it’ll help me last through the next winter! The jumpers that I bought earlier this year didn’t really last me as the cold is alright, but when the wind starts blowing, the cold gets biting… Hey, it rhymes! Anyway, I hope to hear from you guys soon… Until the next time…
